I'm Fine

You know those days when all your insecurities and weaknesses come crashing down, when all the little nagging doubts sneak into your mind and won't go away? I had one of those days recently, and this was the result. I don't talk about my problems very often; even in the deepest darkness, I'm good at keeping a brave face and simply saying, "I'm fine." And that's not what this is, because the problems have passed and I'm okay now. Rather, I'm posting this to let you know—whoever is reading this—that I know what it's like to have bad days, and that it will be okay. Some of you have it so much worse than I do because of anxiety and depression, and I hope you know just how amazing you are for dealing with that, because one of the hardest things in this life is when you are your own worst enemy. I know life flat-out sucks sometimes, but I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason and that everything will work out eventually. These problems and issues that we deal with and go through can shape us into who we were meant to be, if only we don't give up. 

So don't give up. 

You are strong. You are radiant. You are worth it. You have something to offer the world that no one else does. You are more powerful than anything life throws your way. 
Take a stand. Choose to be happy. Choose to help others without thought of reward. Choose to ignore the whisperings in the back of your mind, because that's the only way they can get to you. Do that, and I promise it'll be okay. 

There will always be hard times and bad days, but I promise that in the end—

It'll be fine.
